SJS is a not-for-profit organisation. It’s critical that we know the outcome of your listing, whether you hire an SJS student or not, as it directly impacts our ability to measure our success and provide services that support students into employment.

Businesses advertising roles with us are expected to act in the spirit of our terms of use, and in the best interest of our students. In line with this, any recruiters or labour hire firms not informing SJS of student placements will have their accounts placed on hold.

  • Student Job Search is a not-for-profit organisation, funded to support students and recent graduates into employment. If your business serves as an intermediary to provide staff to other businesses, you will be required to pay an annual subscription fee to list jobs on SJS.

    Our fees are well below the market average and give you access to the thousands of students and graduates who visit our site daily. Fees from recruitment agencies and labour hire firms enable us to provide essential support for students and recent graduates in finding meaningful employment.

  • If you use SJS to find students and graduates for your clients and serve as an intermediary to provide staff to other businesses, you will be required to pay an annual subscription fee to list jobs on SJS.

    If you employ students and graduates for positions directly within your own business, you can continue to post job listings on our website for free.

  • When you’ve placed a student or graduate into your role:

    • Log into your SJS account
    • Go to 'My Jobs'
    • Choose the relevant role (be sure to check any 'on-hold' jobs as well as 'open' jobs)
    • Click the black Open/Close button
    • Click 'Hired Someone' and choose the candidate you've hired. An auto-decline message will then be sent to all other candidates. If you have hired outside of SJS, select 'Close' instead.

    If you’d prefer to update each candidate one-by-one: log into your SJS account, go to the relevant role and click ‘Hire’ next to their name and 'Decline' for each unsuccessful candidate.

  • All recruitment agencies & labour hire firms are required to inform us about the placements. In cases where we don't receive this information, we may temporarily place your account on hold until we are updated on the outcome. We highly appreciate your input, and we're here to assist you throughout the process.
